You may not have thought it possible, but there is something even more decadent than Beef Bacon, and that something is this. Our Lamb Bacon is made from richly marbled lamb belly, which is naturally cured and then smoked. You'll notice a gentle lamb flavor to this product that will make it irresistible! Serve at any meal, or just eat it right out of the pan. Keep frozen until use; open packages can be stored, tightly sealed, for 3-5 days in the refrigerator. This our first batch, and it's on the salty side, so we recommend you taste your dish before adding additional salt.
Basic Cooking Technique:
Lay pieces in a single layer in a cold frying pan, and heat gently over low heat. When the pan starts to get hot, cover with a splatter guard. Cook until most of the fat has rendered out, turning every few minutes. When golden brown (watch that they don't burn), remove pieces to a paper-towel-lined plate and let cool. They will crisp up as they cool (but they may also get eaten by passers by...you've been warned).
