About this cut:
Brisket for two! This lean and flavorful roast is a close relative to first cut brisket. Perfect for braising or throwing in the crock pot. Cook until fork tender, and slice against the grain to serve.
Basic Cooking Technique:
Braise low and slow.
I used the French Roast recipe with the leeks and mushrooms. Since I am not allowed to eat white potatoes, I used white turnips, which carmelized beautifully. The final product was scrumptious. The meat was tender and there nothing left behind on anyone's plate.
Just like brisket. I’ve done this in slow cooker, on stove and in oven low and slow. All delicious
